Cell phones over the last 10 years have exploded in their technology and capabilities. New apps are coming out every day and the uses for your phone increase with every new app that is released. The main use of my phone is of course being able to send and receives calls, text messages, and looking up directions to and from certain destinations. There are several apps that allow you to look up directions and some that even direct you with turn by turn directions. One of the most popular direction apps is Google Maps, and it is free.

With Google maps you can look up businesses, addresses, traffic conditions, and other information. If you have GPS capabilities on your phone, which most smart phones do, it will even show you on the map in route to your destination. You have the option of toggling between a list of turn by turn directions or viewing the route on a map with a pop up of your next direction. This app is extremely useful and is one of the easiest ways to look up firections on your phone.

If you do not have it installed you can download through your app center, or by visting googles mobile page, m.google.com. Once it is installed you can open it and have it find locate you. Once if locates you you can search for an address or business. Hit the menu option and choose "search" and type in any business name, city, or address you want to find. If more than one option is available, a list will be populated and you can choose with one you want. Once you find the location you have the option of getting directions from your exact location and you can get directions by car, walking, or bicycle.

The ability of getting directions directly to your phone instantly has made a world of convenience available at any moment. You will no longer need to look at paper maps, or print directions before leaving on a road trip. You have all the information you need to get exactly where you want and it will even tell you an estimated time of arrival and show you current traffic conditions.
